The experience on the Lillebæltsbroen

There is a guarantee of stomach ache and spectacular views over the Little Belt, Fredericia and Middelfart when you are on top of the Old Little Belt Bridge at a height of 60 metres. Each bridge walk is led by a guide from Bridgewalking Lillebælt, who along the way will tell you about the construction of the bridge, the history of the area and the nature around the Lillebælt.

And if you're lucky, you might spot a couple of porpoises - Lillebælt's own little whale - along the way on your trip. Lillebælt is home to one of the world's densest populations of porpoises. On bridgewalking, you also come very close to the Old Lillebælt Bridge's special steel structure, and you will be able to feel how the entire bridge vibrates when the heavy freight trains and fast express trains pass below you on the bridge's railway tracks.

Try bridgewalking alone or together

Bridgewalking is an absolutely fantastic activity for both individuals, couples and groups of different sizes. Even if you walk in a group for safety reasons, bridgewalking will not necessarily feel like a common group activity. The time on the bridge is spent enjoying the experience and hearing your guide's exciting stories! You can therefore also easily experience a bridge walk on your own.

Bridgewalking Lillebælt organizes tours throughout the year, so there is plenty of opportunity to experience Lillebælt's many different expressions. For example, try bridgewalking in autumn, where the leaves from the many trees on both sides of the belt cover the coastline like a sumptuous sea of ​​red leaves, or experience how nature appears more harsh from the top of the bridge in the winter.

It is therefore no obstacle if you have already tried bridgewalking, because there is a guarantee of a completely new and unique experience every time you go on a bridge walk across the Little Belt. As Bridgewalking Lillebælt's guides themselves say: No two trips across the Lillebælt are the same, and there are always more stories to tell!

Information about bridgewalking

Your trip on the bridge starts at the Bridgewalking Lillebælt welcome center on Galsklintvej 2 in Middelfart. Here you will be received by Bridgewalking Lillebælt's knowledgeable guides, who will prepare you for the fantastic trip you are about to embark on. Together you go from the Welcome Center to the Old Lillebælt Bridge, where you are connected to a security system - and then it goes up!

The trip is approx. 2,5 km long and it is a requirement that the participants are in fairly good physical shape, as there are quite a few steps along the way. It is not permitted to carry objects on the bridge, and all pockets must be emptied. It is therefore also not allowed to bring phones or cameras on the trip - but don't worry, your guide will bring a phone and will take pictures of you along the way, which you can download afterwards.

It is possible to lock your small belongings such as wallet, keys or phone in a safety box while you are on the bridge.

Tickets, prices and parking

Tickets: Tickets can be purchased at the welcome center and online. We recommend, that you buy tickets online, so you are sure of getting a seat on the trip you want. Tickets can be purchased here , or via the blue box on the right.

Children under 16 years (over 140 cm): 255 DKK
Adults: 315 DKK

Free parking: There is a car park at Galsklintvej 2, 5500 Middelfart, right next to the welcome centre. You can read more about parking and public transport options here !

Food and drink at Bridgewalking Lillebælt

With Bridge Walking In Lillebælt, it is possible to buy hot and cold drinks, which you can enjoy before or after your trip on the bridge. These are sold from the welcome centre, where you can also see a small exhibition about the area around the Little Belt and the Old Little Belt Bridge og buy various remembrances from Bridge Walking Little belt.

At the welcome center is available also table and bench set, where you can enjoy brought food, a fire plates with seating and a large natural playground. It is not possible to buy food from Bridge Walking Little belt.
