Fredericia's old town center is full of historic buildings, all of which have played a role in the special history of the fortress town and about decisive events in Denmark. Hear about the function of the buildings, about their distinctive architecture and their development up to the present day.

With a history spanning almost 400 years, there is plenty to tackle!

Guided tour through Fredericia's old town centre

On this guided tour you will pass Fredericia's many historic buildings in the city centre. The tour is led by a knowledgeable guide who will tell you about how the buildings have played a special role or otherwise contributed to the story of Fredericia and Fredericia's development.

On the guided tour you will, among other things, past the Johnson Foundation, The exercise house, Fredericia's former beach hotel and the fortress city's very special fix point Kongens Punkt. The tour also goes through the quarter from which Fredericia's large tobacco industry and production, which for almost 200 years was the city's most important industry, originates.

Along the way, threads are drawn to Fredericia's contemporary urban renewal project, where both Fredericia Vold and the city's many facades have been given a facelift with support from the AP Møller Foundation.
