In the area around Elbodalen there are several good fishing opportunities, perfect for your next fishing trip. The lakes and the stream are located in a scenic area with a rich wildlife, and there are therefore also several different species of fish in the lakes and the stream, which you can try to hook!

Catch freshwater fish and trout

If you want to fish in the Kongsted Lakes, you can fish in the five lakes located on the northwestern part of Spang Å. Here you can catch different freshwater fish such as perch, pike, clams, bream and other typical Danish freshwater fish.

If you are more into river fishing, you can fish on the 500 meter long stretch of Spang Å, which is located on the stretch around the bridge at Kongsvej Engvej. Here you can catch brook and sea trout. From the bridge at Kongsted Engvej, fishing is allowed 200 m upstream and 300 m downstream.

Practical information and rules

Fishing ban: Fishing is not allowed 200 meters north of and 300 meters south of the bridge at Kongsted Engvej over Spang Å in the period 16 October to 15 April.

Public access: The lakes are located in a water supply area close to Kongsted Vandværk, and the area is owned by EWII A/S, which has given the public access to fishing.

Reservation: Be aware that some lakes may have strong growth of algae and duck food in some summers, which can make fishing difficult.

Parking: You can park in the car park at Palmskovvej 50, 7000 Fredericia.
